How affiliate links work on our site

The Tap Guide is a participant in the Amazon EU Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to let sites like ours earn commission by linking to Amazon.co.uk. Many links within our top 10 lists and some of our buying guides point to product listings on Amazon. When you click one of these links and then buy something, usually but not always the specific product linked, we may receive a small commission from Amazon.

No extra cost to you

Clicking an affiliate link never increases the price you pay. Any commission we receive comes out of Amazon's own marketing arrangement and isn't added to the price shown on the product page. You'll pay exactly the same price whether you arrive at Amazon via our link or by searching for the product directly.

How we label affiliate links

Pages containing affiliate links carry a disclosure note, usually near the top or bottom of the page, so you can tell when a link on this site may earn us a commission. We follow the UK CAP Code on advertising disclosure, overseen by the Advertising Standards Authority.

Our commitment to you

Affiliate relationships don't influence what we write. Our recommendations are based on genuine research into build quality, fitting, and everyday performance. A tap that performs poorly doesn't get recommended regardless of its commission rate, and commission rates play no part in any editorial decision.

The guides, conclusions, and recommendations on this site would be the same with or without any affiliate arrangement in place.

Affiliate tracking

When you click an affiliate link and visit Amazon, Amazon's systems may set a tracking cookie on their own domain to record the referral. We don't set any affiliate tracking cookies on this site itself. For details of how this site handles cookies and personal data more broadly, see our Privacy Policy.
